Sam Adwar in The Early Days
Our founder, Sam Adwar becomes one of the first Americans hired by Sony USA. Assigned to open Sony service centers throughout the USA.

Sam Adwar opens Adwar Video Corp at 100 Fifth Ave NYC, one of the first professional video dealerships in the nation. Launches an innovative line of low-cost video products like the Adwar Hip Switcher, Adwar Proc Mod, and the Adwar ARS-170, some of which install into the newly released Apple II computer. Trudy Adwar opens a branch of the company in Bellmore, NY.

Adwar Video [Video HI-Tech Corp] relocates to Long Island, NY. Michael Adwar joins the organization and transitions the company from Pro Video to Pro AV products and services.

Adwar Video expands to larger facilities in Plainview, NY. Company becomes a major supplier of AV products to the NYC school system under the FAMIS contract. AV Installation and Services in the Tri- State area becomes the company’s core business.

Moves to current facility in Farmingdale NY 11735. Adds Engineers and Engineering Services to the organization. Major Universities and Fortune 500 companies become clients.

Brian Adwar joins Adwar Video as the third generation of the Adwar family. Company expands to 35 employees in five states. Major clients include S&P, NCPD, Conde Nast, Stony Brook University. Company continues to evolve as one of the most technically proficient AV Design and Installation companies in the New York area.
